One process.
Fifteen minutes.
A century of hardwood
Our patented biological process replicates in a few hours what a tropical hardwood needs a century to grow. Two robots, one biological resin, three quality checks — and a block of engineered hardwood ready to be milled like solid timber.

OUR PATENT
A biological process, not a chemical one
Most engineered wood relies on synthetic adhesives that sit on top of the wood fibres. We take a different approach.
Our water-based biological resin penetrates the fibres and cures into a bond stronger than the material around it. Nothing off-gasses. Nothing leaches. What comes out of the press machines, sands and finishes exactly like solid hardwood and complies out-of-the-box with the stricter REACH formaldehyde limits coming into force in August 2026.
What it is not
- No acetic anhydride (Accoya)
- No furfuryl alcohol (Kebony)
- No delignification chemistry (Woodoo, InventWood)
- No added formaldehyde
- Just water, wood and our patented biological polymer
Carbon impact
More CO₂ captured per hectare, compared to naturally managed plantations.
Carbon sequestration potential — 3RT Technologies Europe wood vs. competitors. Values measured in ton CO₂e per hectare, per year.
Key insights
What the numbers say.
In land-scarce regions, species like E. globulus and White gum are more efficient choices — thanks to higher biomass productivity and carbon capture per hectare.
3RT Technologies Europe delivers superior carbon performance per hectare compared to competitors — meaning more climate impact per dollar of land acquisition.
A sustainability highlight worth flagging to potential customers — it turns your choice of timber into a measurable climate lever.
Environmental value
Emissions are just the start of the story.
Five dimensions where 3RT Technologies Europe products deliver measurable — or estimated — environmental benefit, from carbon footprint to biodiversity, water and social impact.

REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE
Six reasons Europe's most demanding engineers choose 3RT Technologies Europe
01
European First
Engineered and delivered within the EU using fully compliant, traceable timber. Our answer to CITES and the EU Deforestation Regulation.
02
Ecological
85% wood utilisation vs 30% in conventional sawmilling. Fully biodegradable. Water-based resin, no formaldehyde.
03
Durability Certified
Tested against EN standards for cyclic moisture, saltwater, fungi and UV. Matches tropical hardwood durability class.
04
Dimensional Stability
No warping. No bowing. No discolouration. Straight as a pencil, cycle after cycle.
05
Biological Process
Patented water-based biological resin. Cures inside the wood fibre, not on top of it. 100% biodegradable.
06
Flexible by Design
Responsibly sourced species. Custom colour, dimensions and density profile. Runs on your existing production line.

HOW IT WORKS
From controlled plantation
to hardwood block
Four steps. Two robots. One centralised human-machine interface.
01
Infeed
Veneer from responsibly sourced plantation logs is cut into 2,500 × 3,000 mm strips.
02
Resin & cure
Our water-based biological resin is applied to each strip. Infrared curing evaporates surplus moisture and brings the veneer to bond temperature.
03
Hydraulic press
Strips are stacked and compressed. The unique pressure profile creates a grain pattern indistinguishable from solid hardwood.
04
Outfeed
The block cures, is trimmed and optionally thermally treated for outdoor use before being cut to customer specification.
